Early on purpose — the light goes by half four.
We're getting married
Short days, long dinner, and every candle we could find.
Our story
We are both winter people — early dark, open fires, food that takes all day. It was never going to be a summer wedding, and we have made our peace with the forecast.
A cooking class neither of us wanted to be at. Burnt the same sauce.
Snowed in at a cabin with no reception, which turned out to be the point.
Ceremony at 2pm while the light lasts, then indoors for the rest of it.
The celebration
Early on purpose — the light goes by half four.
Mulled wine, hot toddies, and a fire we will keep fed.
Five courses, no rush, candles all the way down the table.
