Twelve bedrooms for family and the wedding party — everyone else is in the village.
We're getting married
Beatrice & Rupert
Croquet on the lawn, tea in the orangery, dancing in the great hall.
Our story
Rupert grew up two villages over and Beatrice came for one summer that is now eleven. We are marrying in the village church, walking back through the fields, and taking over the house until Sunday.
The village fête. Beatrice judged the Victoria sponge; Rupert had entered one. He did not win.
On the ha-ha at dusk with the dog, who had been carrying the ring in his collar for an hour.
Church at 2pm, the walk back through the fields, croquet, tea, and the great hall until the small hours.
The celebration
Bells at half past one. The church seats ninety; the overflow gets the best pews in the porch.
Fifteen minutes on a footpath. Cars for anyone who would rather; wellies by the lychgate if it rained.
Pimm's, scones, croquet, and a very competitive uncle.
Long tables, a roast, speeches from the minstrels' gallery, and a ceilidh band at nine.
On your real site, guests only see the events they're invited to. Times and venues become proper schedule fields in your builder.
