Élodie & Hamish
Purple rows, stone walls and rosé at four.
#LodieAndHamish2027Our story
We met in a lavender field in the south of France and moved to one in the north of Tasmania — same flowers, better cheese. The rows will be in full bloom, which is the only reason the date is the date.
A harvest job in Provence. Élodie ran the still; Hamish carried the bundles and stayed for the season.
Between rows 14 and 15, the week before harvest. The bees were the only witnesses.
Ceremony at the top of the field at 4pm, dinner in the old stone barn, dancing in the courtyard.
The celebration
A short walk up the rows — flat shoes, and the bees are friendly.
Tasmanian rosé, local cheese, and the field turning gold below.
Provençal long tables, a great deal of bread, and lavender in everything you would expect.
