Flat shoes, a hat, and water — the light is soft but the sun is not.
We're getting married
Zara & Beau
Red dirt, sage scrub and a sky that goes on forever.
Our story
We fell for the outback before we fell for each other — separate trips, the same campground, one borrowed jerry can. The ranges are where we go to think, so they are where we are getting married.
Wilpena campground. Zara's car would not start; Beau would not stop talking.
Sunrise on the rim walk, a thermos of bad coffee, and a ring wrapped in a bandana.
Ceremony in the dry creek bed at 4pm, dinner under the river gums, stars for the rest.
The celebration
Flat shoes, a hat, and water — the light is soft but the sun is not.
Gin, quandong tonic, and the ranges going orange behind you.
Long tables, a spit roast, and a pile of blankets for when the temperature drops.
