Our story
How we got here
We met at a warehouse party neither of us was invited to, in a building that is now a brewery. It felt right to go back — concrete floors, long benches, and a sound system that means it.
- 2020How we met
Level 2 of a warehouse in Collingwood, a broken lift, and a conversation that lasted the whole walk down.
- 2026The question
On the roof of our first apartment, the city coming on behind him. No kneeling; the gravel.
- 2027The day
Ceremony on the mezzanine at 5pm, drinks in the brewhouse, dinner and a very loud floor downstairs.
The celebration
The day
Their beer, our playlist, tacos from the truck out the front.
Long benches, family style, a DJ at nine and no sitting down after that.

Dress code: Cocktail, minus the fuss — black, concrete grey, brass. Shoes that handle a steel staircase.
- Is there parking?
- Barely. Trams stop at the door, and there is a car park two streets over if you must — but the tram is faster and nobody has to stay sober.
- What about photos?
- Our photographer has the ceremony covered — phones away until we're married, then snap everything.
