You said yes — now the fun begins
One place for your date, your vendors, your budget and every RSVP.
Wedyesday is a free wedding planning workspace and a vendor marketplace in one (the directory covers the largest cities in United Kingdom): set your date, shortlist vendors who are still free on it, ask for real prices, and give your guests a wedding website that collects the RSVPs.
Cost figures: Wedyesday United Kingdom cost guide, GBP for around 100 guests, before VAT — scaled from surveys that measured smaller weddings, reviewed 2026-07-17.

21 kinds of wedding business across 12 markets in the United Kingdom. Pick a category and a city, then ask your shortlist for prices in writing.
How it works
One date sets everything else: your checklist counts backwards from it, and the directory only shows vendors you can still book.
Filter by city, category and price, save the ones you like to a board, and compare them side by side on the numbers that matter.
Send one brief to your whole shortlist. Quotes come back in writing, in your own currency, and land in one thread per vendor.
Publish a free wedding website, collect RSVPs and meals on one link, and seat the room from the replies as they arrive.
What you get

What it costs
Hitched's 2026 survey of 2,020 newlyweds put the average UK wedding at GBP 21,990 across all sizes, or GBP 272 a guest, with its 101+ guest band averaging GBP 35,591. Bridebook's 7,000-couple report put the wedding day at GBP 20,604 on about 74 guests. Neither measures a clean 100-guest wedding, so the range below is scaled from both — before VAT. | Category | Low (GBP) | High (GBP) | What moves the number |
|---|---|---|---|
| Venue hire | GBP 3,500 | GBP 12,000 | Hire fee only, before catering. Bridebook records GBP 6,040 national venue spend excluding catering, with average hire near GBP 4,674. |
| Catering and bar | GBP 6,000 | GBP 14,000 | Bridebook records GBP 5,406 for reception catering plus GBP 2,002 for evening catering on about 74 guests — roughly GBP 100 a head combined. Scale that to your own numbers, and add VAT. |
| Photography | GBP 900 | GBP 3,500 | Bridebook's 2026 national average is GBP 1,484, with videography a separate GBP 1,514. GBP 900 buys a shorter day or a newer photographer. |

Answers are British national ranges. City-level numbers, and guides for Australia, the United States, New Zealand and India, live in the cost guides.
Hitched's 2026 survey put it at GBP 21,990 across all wedding sizes, with weddings of 101+ guests averaging GBP 35,591. For a 100-guest wedding most couples land between GBP 19,000 and GBP 42,000 before VAT.
VAT is quoted inconsistently. A GBP 95 per head catering quote for 100 guests reads as GBP 9,500 and invoices at GBP 11,400 once 20% VAT is added — and many venues then apply a 10-15% service charge to the post-VAT total. Assume every quote is exclusive until told otherwise.
The North West. Bridebook puts it at GBP 17,342 across all wedding sizes, roughly 16% below the UK average. London and Scotland sit at the top, with Scotland recording the highest per-guest spend in the country.

| Flowers and styling | GBP 500 | GBP 3,000 | National florist average GBP 1,187, with decor a further GBP 1,404. Published guidance starts around GBP 400 and runs past GBP 2,000 with scale and season. |
|---|
| Registrar and legal fees | GBP 150 | GBP 900 | England and Wales: notice is about GBP 35-46.50 each (GBP 63 each if either party is subject to immigration control) and a register office ceremony roughly GBP 57-62. Scotland and Northern Ireland run separate systems with their own fees. |
|---|
| All in, 100 guests | GBP 19,000 | GBP 42,000 | Typical landing point GBP 27,500. |
