No matchmaker taking a commission, no algorithm you're not allowed to see, and no stage where the only way forward is to pay. Here is the whole thing, in order.

Step 1
Create your profile
About ten minutes, and you can finish it later.
Start with the basics — age, city, community, language, work and study — then write the parts that actually get a reply: a few lines about your life, your family, and the kind of person you'd like to meet. You choose who sees your photos: everyone, members only, Premium members, or only people you've connected with.
Step 2
Verify what you're comfortable verifying
Email, phone, photo, ID — each one is a separate badge.
Email confirmation is required. Phone, photo and government ID checks are optional, and each one shows on your profile as its own badge, so other members can see exactly which checks you've passed rather than a vague tick. Verified members get replied to more often, for obvious reasons.
Step 3
Set what matters and what doesn't
Hard filters exclude; everything else only ranks.
Age range, religion, mother tongue, city, marital status and diet can each be a hard filter or a soft preference. Hard filters remove people from your results entirely. Soft preferences just move the right profiles up the list, so you don't quietly rule out someone you'd have liked to meet.
Step 4
Express interest, then talk
Free members send three interests a day and reply to anyone.
Send an interest. If it's accepted, the conversation opens for both of you and stays inside Wedyesday — no phone number changes hands until you both decide it should. Premium members can start the conversation first and attach a note; Premium Plus can request contact details, released only when both sides agree.
Step 5
Meet in your own time
Video call first, public place, tell someone where you'll be.
There's no pressure from us to rush. Our safety page sets out how to meet sensibly, what a matrimonial scam looks like, and how to report someone. Families are welcome in this part — plenty of first meetings here happen with parents in the room, and that's normal, not a failure of the process.
Step 6
Plan the wedding in the same place
Checklist, budget, guest list, website and verified vendors.
This is the part no other matrimony service has. When it becomes a wedding, your Wedyesday account already carries a planning workspace: a checklist built around your date, a budget tracker with real Australian cost guides behind it, a guest list with RSVPs, a free wedding website, and a directory of verified Australian vendors who publish their prices.
Cost
Where money comes into it
You can go from step one to step six without paying us anything. Paid plans remove the daily interest limit, let you message first, and show you who has been looking at your profile.
Read the safety page before your first meeting: how verification works, how to report someone, how to meet sensibly, and what a matrimonial scam looks like.
Australians of every background who are looking to marry, and the families helping them. Members set their own boundaries on religion, community, language and lifestyle — some care a great deal about those, some barely at all, and both are welcome.
How new is this, honestly?
New. We're opening city by city rather than pretending to be everywhere at once, and we won't quote member numbers we haven't earned. The profiles marked Sample profile are ours — written to show what a good profile looks like — and they carry no photos and can't be contacted. Everything else is a real person.
Is it free?
Creating a full profile, browsing every member, sending three interests a day and replying to anyone who accepts is free, permanently. Paid plans add unlimited interests, the ability to message first, and the list of people who viewed or liked you. All prices are published on the pricing page.
Can my parents create and manage my profile?
Yes, and plenty do. The profile records who manages it — self, parent, sibling, relative or friend — and shows that to other members, so nobody is surprised about who they're corresponding with.
Do I have to show my photos to everyone?
No. Each profile sets its own photo visibility: everyone, signed-in members only, Premium members only, or only people you've connected with. Plenty of members keep photos private until a conversation is underway.
